If you do not reside in Australia, you can also undertake online the WITS MBA (validated by Jubilee University). Those residing in Australia will be directed to the online MBA programs approved by WITS, such as those offered by Deakin University, The University of Central Queensland and the University of South Australia.
The WITS Strategic Partners are:
- Royal Roads University (Canada)
- Educatis University (Switzerland)
- Educatis University (Philippines)
- Educatis University (India)
- IPMI Graduate School of Management (Indonesia)
- University of Utara Malaysia
Once you apply to a WITS Strategic Partner or approved university, you are no longer a WITS student, and our involvement with you ceases. If you wish to undertake the WITS MBA please read on.
The ICMA programs can be done as part of a ‘Graduate Licentiate’ (4 subjects) or ‘Graduate Professionate’ (2 subjects); or can be undertaken directly via the ICMA. In the latter case, a GBS application is not required and students can enrol directly in the subjects via the CMA Study Centre.
Please complete the GBS application form for the program you wish to undertake and post it (regular mail) to WITS with certified copies of transcripts you wish to have evaluated for Admission /Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) purposes.
Please also include current CV and the relevant 'non-refundable' Application Fee of AUD 44.00 that is required for processing your application (if you are offered a place in the WITS program you are applying for, and decide to take up the offer, your application fee will be credited against any 'course fees' you need to pay). -
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL):
- Your application for admission will be professionally evaluated, so that maximum credit will be allowed for your past academic and experience backgrounds. You will be notified of this in your 'Letter of Offer'.
-
Letter of Offer:
- Once an Application Form is submitted it will be reviewed by the admissions committee. If accepted, the student will be sent a 'Letter of Offer' and an Enrolment form. In your 'Letter of Offer', you will receive details of the Individualised Education Program (IEP) based on your educational requirements, which will enable you to achieve your academic and professional goals in the most direct way and at the least tuition cost
-
Acceptance of Offer:
- From the information in your 'Letter of Offer' with information on the outcomes of the credit given for ‘Recognised Prior Learning’ (RPL), you will have the information needed to make your decision if to accept the offer
-
Subject Enrolment Fees:
- You would accept your 'Letter of Offer' with the payment of the subject enrolment fee, the details of which would be in your Enrolment form. In general, you will be charged tuition fees in advance, on a subject-by-subject basis and payment is made either via a Bank Draft made out to The Wharton Institute of Technology and Science, or by Visa or MasterCard credit card payment
-
Admission (Enrolment):
- On acceptance and the payment of the enrolment fees for the subjects being initially undertaken, you will be admitted to the study program of your choice. Those undertaking the ICMA programs can enrol directly in the subjects (without application), by paying the subject enrolment fee(s). These fees are usually non-refundable. However, if a student is found to be ineligible to undertake the required ICMA program, the enrolment fee will not be processed (i.e. the fee will not be charged), and the student will be informed of his/her ineligibility.
-
Mentoring Fees:
- This is available for online students only. You could choose to have an online-mentor provided by WITS for an additional fee. In general, you will be charged mentoring fees in advance, on a subject-by-subject basis and payment is made either via a Bank Draft made out to The Wharton Institute of Technology and Science, or by Visa or MasterCard credit card payment.
-
Course Materials:
- Once the payment of your subject enrolment fees have been confirmed, you are ready to start your course. Students undertaking online programs will be provided a Student ID and Password to download all the Course Materials for the subject enrolled. Students undertaking classroom programs will be provided all Course Materials 2 weeks prior to the commencement of your course.
-
Examinations:
- Students undertaking classroom programs need to take their examinations during the scheduled examination period at the examination centre provided by WITS. Students undertaking online programs tend to be scattered around the world, and would need to arrange for their exam invigilation in accordance with WITS requirements. Such students would need to meet their invigilation costs (if any). ICMA students will also need to pay AUD$55 exam fees per subject directly to ICMA.
-
Graduation:
- When the course of study in conformance with the requirements of the ‘Graduate Licentiate’, ‘Graduate Professionate’ and ‘Masters’ programs has been completed and graded, and all subject fee obligations have been met, your qualification is conferred. Those undertaking the ICMA exams would have their professional qualifications conferred by ICMA.
